What Does Heterogeneous In Echotexture With Multiple Hypoechoic Areas In Ultrasound Mean?

Today I had a pelvis ultrasound. Uterus is anteverted in position, normal in size. The myometrium appears diffusely heterogenous in echotexture with multiple hypoechoic areas. These areas are non-specific and may represent fibroids. What does this mean?

welcome to Health care magic.
1.That means, generally the myometrium suppose to be homogeneous ( similar colour) heterogeneous means ( it is of different pattern)
2.This is seen in case of the presence of multiple fibroids ( excessive bleed/also with out any bleed), adenomyosis (presents with irregular periods )
3.fibroids means a mass ( timor in the uterus).
4.If they are small, hormonal treatment would be helpful, if they are large and depending on the age hysterectomy is the treatment of choice.
5.Antiverted uterus mean - uterus rather than be straight behind the bladder it is anteriorly bent.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health.
