What Does Heterogenous Lesion Measuring 31 X 28mm Noted In Anterior Wall Mean?
Hai, my mom age is 47 years old,she is having bleeding little little after gap of 2-3days from back 1month .Doctors said like.Evidence of heterogenous lesion measuring 31 x 28mm noted in anterior wall -s/o intramural fibroid. .What does it mean?she is having diabetes.Suggest the way that is to be followed.... The doctors said d&c and biopsy has to be done..what does it mean?? Is it d only solution,or any other solutions are there? Please suggest me the best way for my mom...... I will be waiting for your reply...... Thank you..

1.The report suggest there is a mass lesion noted in the anterior wall of the uterus with measurements mentioned - suggest intra mural fibroid.
2.the doctor would like to take a biopsy from the lesion to evaluate the nature of the cells involved and to rule out the malignancies.
3.If the patient is post menopausal the treatment of choice includes hysterectomy - if the patient is symptomatic with blood loss.
4.Generally initially it will be tried to treat with hormonal treatment followed by operative treatment.
5.I would recommend a MRI to see any pelvic extensions, rule-out malignancies and go for operative treatment.
