Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Does Hetrogeneously Dense And Nodular Breasts Obscuring Small Masses Mean?
I just had DIGITAL SCREENING MAMMOGRAM the result said that The breasts are heterogeneously dense and nodular, which may obscure small masses. No dominant mass, architectural distortion or suspicious cluster of microcalcification is demonstrated. What is that mean?
The mammography shows presence of some micro-calcification which is suspicious. A fine needle aspiration (FNAC) of the lesion can determine the nature of the lesion. I suggest you to consult a primary healthcare provider for clinical assessment of the lesion and FNA to determine the nature of the lesion.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
