What Does High Fever Along With Earache Be Treated?
I had a fever 3 days ago of 102.1 it went away and now the past two days I have been dealing with terrible ear pain in my left ear, the left side of my throat hurts, and the left side of my tongue hurts. Any ideas what this could be is it just a virus ?

Hi Dear,
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have high fever along with earache which seems to be due to strep throat which is a bacterial infection and it could be due to tooth infection in left quadrant. Need not to panic about it. I would suggest you to
1) Avoid giving child spicy and rough food. Take diet rich in soft food.
2) Maintain oral hygiene. Take proper course of antibiotics. Sip on lukewarm water and take throat lozenges.
3) In case of fever you can take Calpol or paracetamol for relief as well as it will relieve throat pain too.
4) Hot milk with a pinch of turmeric boiled with it at bed time for 2-3 days as it has antimicrobial action.
5) Apply warm compresses on ear.
6) Take anti inflammatory drugs such as Levocetirizine.
If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get it examined. Get blood tests done if required and start treatment accordingly.
