What Does Left-sided Shrinking Of The Body And Leg Indicate?
Thank you. I am somewhat concernrd that the left side of my body my leg and my arm is slowly getting smaller that the right side. I have been to my regular Doctor, a surgeon and neurosurgeon and neither have been able to give me a straight answer.??? One said it could be a pinched nerve in my back !? Thank you. Allen YYYY@YYYY
If you have noticed that your left side of your body is slowly getting smaller than the right side, and no answer yet, then, you have not visited the right specialist.
MRI of the spine and diagnostic blood tests should be run to determine the right diagnosis.
If there is a pinched nerve, then, neuro-surgeon would decide whether surgery will repair it or any other orthopaedic procedures.
So, you need a close evaluation by both neuro-surgeon and orthopaedic surgeon to decide for best treatment strategy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
