For the last eight or so months I have been spotting or have a light period two weeks a after my monthly menstural cycle which is unusual for me. My period was two weeks late in October but has been regular every month since. This month my period is extremely lighter than usual. I have taken several home pregnancy tests in October, December and January, which have all come back negative. I have family history of ovarian cancer and endometrosis (both grandparents and mother had cancer and my older sister had endometriosis). Do you think I should be concerned? What other advise can you give me. I am really worried. Could I be pregnant even if the tests say negative? Thank you in advance Laura-Jane
Hi,Welcome to Health care magic forum. The reasons for such an irregular periods may be the anemia, or infection. For excluding the malignancy of the genital tract investigations are to be done. I advise you to consult a gynecologist for diagnosis and treatment. You may need to have an M.R.I. for diagnosis. I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms fluconazole, cifixime, ornidazole, and hematinics . Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
