What Does Light Period With Orange Blood Signify While Recently Having Paragard Iud With Abdominal Pain And Smelly Discharge?

I have started my period two days ago and it is usually pretty heavy but this time it is light and my blood looks orange. A little history, i have paragard iud and i recently about 3 weeks ago had a unbearable pain in my abdomen with no bleeding just a funny smell to my discharge. The pain lasted for two days the second day wasnt so bad. Can you please help me, not to mention i always feel like crap.

Please, offensive vaginal discharge is always suggestive of an infection. This needs to be closely followed up and ruled out. This is even more important as you have an IUD in place.

For the menstrual flow, it is not strange to note some small variations in menstrual flow characteristics. Monitor and if it should be like this in future cycles, then seek medical consultation.
