What Does Mild Chronic Microvascular Ischemic Change Means?
My husband just had a brain MRI done and there's terms I don't understand in the report. What does "mild chronic microvascular ischemic change in the periventricular white matter of both cerebral hemispheres" mean? And what does "there is also suggestion of slightly increased signal within the right hippocampus" mean?
welcome to Health care magic. 1.The findings your husband MRI are more suggestive of age related changes. 2.When the small vessels occlude and cause ischemic (absence flow) this picture is seen. 3.Similar picture is see in chronic systemic diseases ( underlying medical condition ). 4Due to longstanding blood and vascular causes.
Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
