What Does Minimally Dilated Internal Carotied Artery Cavernous Segment Mean?
my grandma frequently has headaches.1 week before she had blood coming from her nose.we consulted a doctor and he asked us to take an MRI scan.the scan resullts are as follows: 1.minimally dilated right internal carotied artery cavernous segment

1.The report suggest that there is minimal dilatation at the cavernous segment of the internal carotid - but it is no a significant criteria for the bleed.
2.The cavernous segment is where the internal carotid artery enters in to the brain just above the nasal cavity.
3.The possible cause of mild dilatation could be due to the inflammatory / infective faction in that area.
4.You need to check with the patients blood pressure and clotting time to identify the cause.
5.Any underlying systemic changes need to be corrected before definitive treatment.
