What Does Missed Period With Thick Endometrium Indicate?

i missed my period on aug 23 2011 and is expecting. i had a light pain in left abdomen.After doind ultrasound scan impression was thick endometrium and no evident gestational sac... wat should be the result? am i pregnent or if its a tumour or a sign of ectopic pregnency?
