What Does My CT Coronary Angiogram Report Indicate?
Report of CT coronary angiogram with calcium scoring ; Type III LAD , extending beyond ventricular apex. It is normal in course . There is fibrocalcific plaque noted in the proximal LAD approximately 0.7 cms beyond the origin causing significantly focal 75%-80% narrowing . The involved segment measures approximately 0.8cms in length . Rest of LAD appears unremarkable.D1and D2 artery noted , appear unremarkable. Conclusion ; coronary calcium score is 33.5. A focal 75% -80% narrowing in the proximal LAD with fibrocalcific plaque . No other significant atherosclerotic plaque or stenotic disease . MYOCARDIAL PERFUSION IMAGING Exercise Stress Impression Myocardial perfusion imaging is abnormal Normal resting LVEF noted Small area of inducible ischemia is noted in the basal inferoseptum and mid and basal inferior wall No evidence of inducible ischemia anywhere else in the myocardium Low risk scan for future cardiac events First CT Angio was done about 30 days back and then thallium stress done a week back Can you please advise because both seem to contradict each other
After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that significant disease is there in LAD which needs to be revasularised with the help of a stent and is advisable for you to consult a cardiologist personally regarding same .
Hopefully this information will guide you properly.
Kind Regards Dr Bhanu Partap
