Hi I am 41 y/o male 6'1" aprox 230 lbs. Having back pain. Had MRI, and would like to understand ressults. MRI impression: Partially transitional element with pseudoarticulation with the sacrum on the left . 2.Diffuse disc bulging with central disc herniation at L3-4. This causes recess narrowing and moderate central stenosis. 3. Diffuse disc with superimposed central disc herniation at L4-5 causes moderate to marked central stenosis and left greater than right superior lateral recess narrowing
1.There is a disc between the vertebral bodies helps as a shock absorber effect, the disc contains maximum percentage of water, due to degenerative changes when the water content / hydration is lost the disc slips / bulges. 2.There is diffuse disc bulge at the level of L3-4 vertebrae which is causing the pressure effect on the spinal chord. 3.Similar condition at the level of L4-5 causing pressure effect on the spinal chord left more than right. 4.Treatment in this case includes back exercises followed by physiotherapy, generally helps. 5.When they are not helpful - interventional / operative treatment is done.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
