I had an MRI last week and the report refers to pulmonary collapse and pathologic fracture of the vertebrea as well as severe spinal stenosis-C5-Cb. I am 78 years old and won t be able to see my dr until Dec 3rd, would like to hear from you, thanks, Cynthia Burchard
1.The report suggest there is a pathological fracture / compression fracture at the level of C5-6. 2.The pathological fractures are usually due to the infective aetiology - tubercular should be ruled out. 3.The lung collapse is possibility of the primary source of infection - which causing the vertebral collapse. 4.In this case its helpful to get a CT for lung conditions and the extension of the infection. 5.The area of fracture vertebrae there is spinal canal stenosis - due to pressure effect causing on the spinal chord.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
