Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had an MRI today for what was referred to as nonspecific abnormal imaging findings of my liver. The MRI was requested after these findings from a ultra-sound. The technician asked me if I had eaten before the MRI as I seemed to have quite a bit of fluid in this area. I had not eaten. What would cause this fluidZZZZZZZ? Thank you. Vina

General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
Fluids in the stomach after eating is normal but the fluid in the left lobe of the liver (lying in epigastrium) indicates a liver problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Vasudha Jayant Athavale,
