Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Mild narrowing of the left c4 neural foramina. Midline disc bulging / herniation at c4- c5 causing narrowing of the central canal to6 mm. Mass effect on the cord is noted. Narrowing of the left c5 neural foramen. Mild central stenosis is seen at c5- c6 measuring 6 mm.
Hello there, The report suggests a cervical herniation at the c4-c5 level. What it means is the patient's spine at the level of your neck has one of its shock absorbing cushions(Discs) out of place and this is compressing the nerves that emerge from the back of the spine and hence causes a wide range of symptoms like tingling, numbness, pain that is shooting or dull achy. Sometimes dizziness or vertigo may also occur.
The tratment for this is physiotherapy, corticosteroid injections and as a final call surgery.
Hope this helps, Please get back to me with any further queries. I would be glad to help you,
