Hi, After an MRI scan this is the result..... There is evidence of gencralised involutional change. Bilateral maxillary sinus disease. There are otherwise no focal parenchymal abnormality. No intra or extra-axial collection haematoma. No restricted diffusion. Normal appearance of the posterior fossa structures and cranial clerical junction. Could you just explain this to me please. Thank you
1.The report suggest there is bilateral maxillary sinusitis - thickening would have been seen in the bilateral maxillary sinuses. 2.There is a generalised changes in the brain - possibly age related volume loss kind of thing. 3.As it was mentioned that there is no collection or parenchyma changes seen - suggest there is no obvious brain pathologies detected. 4.Posterior fossa anatomical structures are seen with no abnormalities including the cervical junction. 5.In this case the possible symptoms experiencing could be headache which is due to sinus thickening. Can be treated with a course of antibiotics.
Good luck. Hope i have answered your query, any thing to ask ? do not hesitate to ask. http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-ganesh/62888
