What Does My MRI Scan Test Report Indicate?

Hello, Is this MRI result a soft tissue injury? Cervical Spine revealed a loss of the normal lordotic curvature spine. In the correct clinical setting, this may reflect injury. Clinical correlation is recommended. At C-C4, there is a disc bulging impressing the anterior margin of the thecal sac. At C4-C, there is disc bulging impressing the anterior margin of the thecal sac. At C5-C6, there is disc bulging impressing the anterior margin of the thecal sac.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Cervical curve is the forward curve of the spine which is normal. Loss of this curvature results in painful neck. Vertebral disc is the anatomical structure present in between the two vertebrae to prevent damage to the spine. Bulging disc following injury, poor posture or age related results in thecal sac compression. Thecal sac is the membrane covering the spinal cord. On progression, this may leads neural compression which results in radiating pain. Neck support is advised for better outcome.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
