What Does My MRI Scan Test Report Indicate?
My gastro did a colonscopy three years ago and found a rough spot . An MRI showed an unidentified cyst or spot on my rectum. The gastro just did a colonscopy again this week and again found the rough spot and suggested a colorectal surgeon. What does this mean?

The colonoscopy and MRI both have identified a lesion in the rectum.
The next step is refer to a colorectal surgeon as suggested by your doctor for biopsy of the lesion.
Biopsy from the lesion will determine the origin of lesion, its nature and character.
Further management will be based on the biopsy report.
If the lesion is non-neoplastic or benign conservative measures need to be taken.
If the lesion is malignant, surgical excision of the lesion will be required.
Thus, consult a colorectal surgeon for further management.
