General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It is an invasive fungus which may lead to fungal sepsis and has a high mortality rate. He must have been advised anti fungal like Caspofungin or Liposomal Amphotericin for it. They are costly but highly effective. Please follow your clinician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Ajeet Singh, General & Family Physician
