Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Clinical back ground: Complete ACL tear, Tear lateral menisus with osteochondral defect over medial femoral condyle (Lt knee OPD) Operation held in aug 2015 But still pain in my knee Sir i take MRI in may 2016 Impression: 1.Post-anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction status and post-op status chondral lesion medial femoral condyle 2. Subtle subchondral fracture lateral femoral condylecondyle 3. Degenerative changes posterior horns of both medial and lateral menisci Sir plz advice me
The MRI shows a minor fracture of lateral femoral condyl and degenerative changes in medial and lateral menisci. I suggest you to consult an orthopedician for management of fracture in lateral condyl.
Degenerative changes in medial and lateral menisci may be age related. Usually the age related changes in menisci do not heal spontaneously. Treatment of fracture of lateral condyl may help in some way.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
