What Does My Blood Work Indicate?

Hi I recently had blood work done and my ast/alt levels came back a little high 136/63 the first time and 115/53 the second. I just had a liver ultrasound but results haven t come back yet. I am 5 3 and weigh about 115lbs. recently I have been a little nauseous but it comes and goes. Hepatitis results were negative. Could this be anything serious?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The liver enzymes- SGOT and SGPT are high on both occasions.
Elevated liver enzymes are caused due to injury to the liver cells or hepatocytes.
Injury to the liver cells are caused by infections like viruses, drugs, toxins etc.
Negative hepatitis results rules out hepatitis infection.
However, other possibilities have to be looked for further management.
Consult your physician for clinical assessment, relevant investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
