Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, i,m 41 and i just had d&c a week ago just got my histopath report And the diagnosis were:A. blood clots and degenerated cells.B. endometrial polyp (fragments). Disordered proliferative endometrium.I would like to know what the diagnosis means, is it serious? Is there a possibility that i will get cancer?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. The findings of the histopathology report of d & c procedure you have shared tells about the following: 1. It contains blood clots and degenerated cells, which states the procedure done is complete. 2. Fragments of endometrial polyps states that there could have been polyps present which has been removed. Polyps are non-cancerous growth that can occur in uterine cavity arising out from endometrium. 3. Disordered proliferative endometrium could be due to reaction due to presence of polyp. Presently it does not indicate anything related to cancer and it cannot predecit about it towards future. Hence, it would be better to do a follow-up regarding this once in every two to five years. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
