i had been for a sonography for irregular menses the report says right ovary is normal in size and left ovary is mildly enlarged in size. both ovaries show multile tiny follicles arranged pheripherally around a central echogenic stroma, requires clinical patholigical correlation to rule out [polycystic ovarian disease
According to reports you have bilateral polycystic ovarian disease(PCOD).It is suggested by enlarged ovary, echogenic stroma and multiple small peripherally arranged follicles. PCOD should be confirmed by clinical correlation and biochemical markers like hormonal assay for PCOD. PCOD is a curable disease and mostly it is treated by medicines.Surgical intervention is required in very few cases. Hope i have answered your query.
