AP, lateral and cone-down radiographs of the lumbosacral spine demonstrate multilevel degenerative change with vertebral body osteophytosis. There is intervertebral disc space narrowing at L3-4, L4-5 and L5-S1 levels. There is hypertrophic facet change at lower most level. There are no compression fractures and alignment is well maintained. Oblique view show no evidence of pars intra-articularis defect. The soft tissues are unremarkable
Your lower back vertebrae show small degenerative changes which include the formation of osteophytes (small bony outgrowths) at more than one level and facet hypertrophy in the L5 vertebra. This means there is some compression on nerve roots in the lower back which can cause pain. Please consult a neurosurgeon to know if you require a MRI based on your clinical symptoms.
