Hello Madame,
Welcome to Health Care Magic. I have gone through your query and I understand your concern.
TSH knowing as thyroid –stimulating hormone is a blood test to check for thyroid gland problems. It serves to detect the problem with the function of the thyroid gland like underactive thyroid gland (hypothyroidism). The high value of TSH seen at hypothyroidism.
Prolactin is a hormone released by the pituitary gland that stimulates breast development and milk production; normally it has high level in pregnant women. In non-pregnant women high prolactin levels interfere with the normal production of other hormones, such as estrogen and progesterone. This can change or stop ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary). It can also lead to irregular or missed periods. Hypothyroidism is one of the cause of the elevate prolactin in non-pregnant women.
These are the reasons why your doctor has recommended to you these lab tests.
From your tests is shown a elevate TSH referring to the range reference and a normal prolactin test value, I recommended you to have a consult with the endocrinologist of your town.
Hope I give answer to your problem. Feel free to ask me again
Take care,

Hello, TSH stands for thyroid stimulating hormone. Its a hormone which tells thyroid to produce more thyroxine. So in short if TSH is above normal range we suspect that patient has hypothyroidism. In your case its 7 which is slightly higher but we need to also see for free T3 and free T4 values too. You dont have full blown hypothyroidism so it wont be a problem for getting pregnant.
Prolactin is a hormone which is secreted in pregnant females for generation of milk for breastfeeding. Your levels are within normal range. I hope i have been able to answer your question. Thank you
