What Does My Urine Test Result Indicate?

hello I did a urine test one month ago and the doctor told me that everything well enact , except overactive bladder and prescribe a medicine named as (TOLTERODINE ), But I had taken only two tablet then I stopped it. Three weeks later, I got difficulty to pass urine and some burn at the tip of penis; therefore, I went to the hospital and explained the case to the doctor who asked me to test the urine again. I did the test and I got a result like LEU+/- 15wbc/ul and protein ....0.15g/l, so may I know what does the result mean? with the knowledge that I did a CT scan and doctor said that my kidneys are enact ...

Hello, This test indicates that you may have a urinary tract infection. LEU means leucocyte . Leucocyte means white blood cell.White blood cells act like policemen in our body. If there is an infection they rush to that site. If your urine report shows 15 WBC/UL it usualy indicates that you may have a urinary tract infection also called UTI. This condition causes difficulty in urination, pain , sometimes fever etc. We may do a urine culture to find out the type of bacteria or other infectious agent causing this infection.Please contact your doctor with this report
