What Does My Urine Test Result Mean?

Trace albumin and 3-4 epithelial cells/hpf. I had a routine urine analysis done. Traces of albumin was reported. Also epithelial cell count of 3-4/ hpf. Is this a cause for concern? My blood and glucose levels are normal. also i have no symptoms of UTI.

Hello,

Three to four epithelial cells are seen normally in urine as well.
So don't worry about that.

Traces of protein in urine could be due to some temporary inflammation. You have to repeat with protein urine estimation again after a week. Your reports don't need any specific further investigations.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
