What Does Myometrial Echo Texture And Endometrial Cavity Cannot Be Differentiated Differently Indicate?
hi!m julia 29/f and i have uteriene fibroids. my ultrasound report on 17/06/11 reads as" bulky in size(156*130*98mm)having heterogeneous rounded shadow occupying the whole of fundal region measuring about 93mm. myometrial echo texture and enometrial cavity cannoted be differentiated differently. ovaries are normal in size and echogenicity. so can myomectomy can be performed or hysterectomy is inevitable?
You are suffering from large uterine fibroid.Fibroid is benign tumour of the uterus.
Fibroid can be treated by both means conservatively and surgically depend upon many things like age, family is completed or not etc. Gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) analogs are commonly used in the medical treatment of fibroids.
If conservative methods doesn't help, you may need myomectomy(surgical removal of fibroid).Hysterectomy can be considered if family is completed and after proper clinical evaluation.
