What Does Normal Ovaries With Peripheral Immature Follicles Mean?
i have a transvaginal last week the doctor seen that my both ovaries are normal with peripheral immature follicles. what does it means? his i mpressions are, retroverted uterus; thickened endometrial lining may relate to late proliferative phase of endometrial cycle, and polycystic ovaries.
Your report suggests that both ovaries have peripheral immature follicles,it may be due to poly cystic ovarian disease (PCOD). PCOD is confirmed by clinical assessment, radiological and biochemical findings. So,you should be clinically assessed for PCOD like menstrual abnormality, hirsutism etc.You also need PCOD profile test. PCOD is curable disease and it can be managed with medicines. Uterus is normal and endometrial lining is thick.Endometrial thickness varies with stage of period. Hope i have answered your query.
