What Does Opacity In Right Middle Lobe And Linear Opacity Towards Both Lung Bases Consistent With Atelectasis Mean In A X-ray?
I just got an x-Ray of my ribs after a car accident. The report said i have opacity in my right middle lobe and linear opacity towards both lung bases consistent with atelectasis in the right middle lobe and lingular regions what does that mean
Atelectasis means collapse of the lungs. Lungs usually contain air and are expanded. Due to injury, a lung segment can collapse and fail to expand. This is known as atelectasis. You need to be kept under observation for further breathing difficulties. You may need to take rest and do light physiotherapy breathing exercises.
