Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My daughter 27 yrs. woke up yesterday with pain in her left kidney . Ultra sound showed nothing, said her ribs were in the way. Dr. ordered vaginal ultra sound of her ovaries. Inconclusive. Dr. called this morning said she has high protein levels in her urine. Dr. Ordered CTScan of her kidneys. They also gave her an antibiotic. Should she be taking the antibiotic, when they don t know what s going on? Also in a lot of pain. Shouldn t she be hospitalized for this until they find out what s going on? I m concern with kidney damage. Maybe I m asking too many questions for this website.
