Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 35 year old active male. I have been experiencing a very slight pain behind my belly button. I have experienced this pain off and on for years. I would feel it off and on for about 2 min and it will go away. It s not a bad pain, but it is sharp. Even though it is tolerable, I am just wondering if I could possibly have a hernia.
You need a detailed clinical examination in person by a surgeon and if necessary tests like complete blood picture, and ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis to arrive at a specific diagnosis and for appropriate treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Pallavi M., Anesthesiologist
