What Does Pain In The Chest And Rib Cage Indicate?

Hello, so I have been having really bad chest pain that goes into my ribs. Mostly on the left side of my body, I have two large lumps/bumps if I can I’ll send you a photo of what they look like. I’m curious to what is causing this? I went to doctors today but all they told me was inflammation and I believe it’s something more, this is area is now swollen and growing to my right side.

Hello,

In rib pain, common diagnosis is costochondritis like inflammation condition or rib fracture. For that x-ray local part can be done. An NSAIDs group of the drug can prescribe for relieving inflammation. Avoid movement that causing pain. If lump present than post photo to give more comment. Consult orthopedic surgeon for examination.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Parth Goswami
