I am Dr. Arpit varshney and i will surely help you out. your condition as you described is most likely an inflammatory etiology. i suspect gout in your case. so to establish gout i would like to know few facts- are you a young male? do you drink alcohol? are you on any medical drugs eg-diuretics like furosemide or thiazide? for time being please take an nsaid like diclofenac or a stronger medicine like hydroxyquinone and get following investigations done- xray of great toe synovial fluid examination s.uric acid levels. CBC with ESR KFT i would also like to keep rheumatoid arthritis in my differential diagnosis although it is less likely.
