What Does Pain On The Right Side Of The Rib Cage Indicate?
I have had right side pain and consulted with my PCP and OBGYN. They have both tested with a sonogram and ultrasound. They didn t see anything. It s been over two weeks and my side still hurts. The location is under my right side rib cage and pain is in front and back sides. Should I go to the emergency so they can take an MRI or CT?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per your description it seems like something called costochondritis. It is a harmless condition and responds well with the treatment. As of now take analgesics like ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain. Anti inflammatory drugs like Serratiopeptidase can also be taken for three days. Most cases resolve well with these. If symptoms persist despite all these, consult a GP and go for an MRI scan.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
