What Does Posterior High Lying Grade 2-3 Placenta With Adequate Amniotic Fluid Mean?
Hi doctor..im 32 weeks and 4 days pregnant. These is my second trimester of pregnancy. My ultrasound result says im in cephalic presentation my placenta is posterior high lying grade 2-3 and my amniotic fluid is volume is adequate..bpd is 7.97cm,hc is 28.6cm,ac is 26.4cm,fl is 5.71cm.. What s doesnt mean Doctor?
Thanks for the question.your ultrasound interpretation is 1)Cephalic presentation means head of the baby is towards the opening of vagina, which says the position of the baby in the uterus.2)Placental grade corresponds to your gestational age & posterior high lying means placenta is positioned towards the umbilical side of uterus, which informs about growth & location of the placenta.3)Amniotic fluid is the fluid where baby is floating, that is adequate enough.4)BPD is Biparietal diameter nothing but distance between temple to temple of your baby.5)HC is head circumference.6)AC is abdominal circumference.7)FL is femur length.all these parameters of baby helps in estimating age& growth of the baby. All your parameters are in normal range.Hope this clarifies.Have a nice baby
