What Does Puss Cells In Urinalysis Of Pregnant Woman Suggest?

hi, i am 8 months pregnant and had my urine test awhile ago. Results shows the following: ph: 7.0 gravity: 1.010 Albumin: trace Sugar:Trace Pus Cells: 15-18 RBC 0-2 hpf Ephitelial cells Moderate Mucous Thread: Few Amorphous Phosphates: Moderate Micral Test: less than 20 mg/dlWhat does it mean? Thanks.

Hello
Thanks for writing to HCM

Most probably you are suffering from urinary tract infection(UTI).UTI is not good for pregnancy.
UTI is indicated by presence of excess pus cells and occasional RBC in urine.RBC in urine may be due to UTI.
You need few more investigations like routine hemogram,renal function test,Urine culture and sensitivity and Ultrasound of abdomen. Further investigations can be done if needed.
At present you need proper antibiotics after culture and sensitivity report.
You should drink lot of water.
