=========== TEXT REPORT ===========
INDICATION:
Acute LBP after shifting patient not relived with medication.

TECHNIQUE:
Non-enhanced SAG and AXL FSE-T1&T2.

FINDINGS:
" No previous Lumbar MRI films are available for comparison.
" Presuming 5 lumbar vertebrae the conus medullaris is identified at T12/L1 disc level
" The alignment of lumbar spine and the bone marrow signal intensity are normal.
" Schmorl's nodes are noted at L1 to L4 discs levels.
" At L1/L2 disc level:
There is mild disc bulge abutting the thecal sac, causing narrowing of the both lateral recesses and minimally narrowing the inferior aspect of the neural foramina bilaterally.
Degenerative changes of the left facet joint is noted

" At L2/L3, L3/L4 disc level:
There is mild disc bulge abutting the thecal sac, causing narrowing of the both lateral recesses and minimally narrowing the inferior aspect of the neural foramina bilaterally.
Degenerative changes of the both facet joints are noted

There is mild disc bulge abutting the thecal sac, causing narrowing of the both lateral recesses and minimally narrowing the inferior aspect of the neural foramina bilaterally.
Degenerative changes of the both facet joints are noted
" At L4/L5 disc level:
There is mild disc bulge and minimal central disc protrusion abutting the thecal sac, causing narrowing of the both lateral recesses and minimally narrowing the inferior aspect of the neural foramina bilaterally.
Degenerative changes of the both facet joints are noted.
At L5/S1 disc level:
No significant abnormality is detected.


OPINION:
Mild Spondylotic changes
Degenerative changes of the facets joints as described.

Thanks for writing to us

According to report,you have mild degenerative disc disease of lumbar spine.
Degenerative changes occurs in spine due to aging and development of weakness in annulus fibrosis.

1.There are changes of mild spondylosis in lumbar vertebra.

2.At L1-L2,L2-L3,L3-L4 level there is mild disc bulge abutting the thecal sac,causing narrowing of the both lateral recesses.

3.Degenerative changes are also noted in the facet joints.

Majority of the cases of degenerative spine disease are benefited by physiotherapy,so physiotherapy should be tried first.
Surgery should be the last option.
There are also medicines like capsule pregabalin available for pain relief.

Treatment can be planned after consultation with neurosurgeon.
