What Does " Suspicious Densities Over Both Upper Lobes Superimposed On Osseous Structure" Suggest?
hello. just recently, i received my x-ray results and it stated there, "suspicious densities over both upper lobes superimposed on the osseous structures", with the remarks: suggest apico-lordotic view to r/o koch's infection. kindly explain. does this mean danger? thank you!
There is suspicious densities in both upper lobes of lung.It may be due to pneumonia, tuberculosis. So you are advised for apicolordotic view for proper assessment. Apical region of lungs are covered by many bony structures like rib, clavicle and it is some times difficult to assess apical region in normal PA view.Apicolordotic view is special view of chest X-ray to assess apical region. Proper treatment depends upon findings. Hope i have answered your query.
