What Does "Bilateral Pelvic Fullness In Both The Fetal Kidneys" Indicate?

Hello Doctor , My wife is 31 yrs of age and is 26.3 weeks pregnant . Today at the Anomally Scan it was diagonosed that :
Urinary Tract. 1 : Both kidneys and urinary bladder appeared normal.
2 : Renal Pelvic fullness in the right measures 10.00mm and left measures 8.3mm.
Doctor concluded: Bilateral mild pelvic fulness in both the fetal kidneys within normal limits however suggests follow up for the same. Other reports of Head , Spine,Neck, Face , Thorax,Abdomen ,Limbs and Umbilical cord are under normal Condition
My question is IS it very serious matter , will the baby be effected with the same , and what if the size increases more , what precaution should i take and what is the probable cause of this happening

WELCOME TO HCM
BILATERAL PELVIC FULLNESS can be due to ureteric or pelvi ureteric junction obstruction... this obstruction will increase backflow of urine and will lead to increase diameter of pelvis

BUT IN YOUR CASE, THE DIAMENSION OF PELVIS SEEMS TO BE NORMAL...SO DONT WORRY...IN MAJORITY CASES THESE BECOMES A NORMAL
A FOLLOW UP SCAN IF SHOWS SIMILAR FINDING, DONT WORRYY..
BUT YA IF IT SEVERELY DILATED PELVIS, THEN ITS ASSO. WITH URINARY TRACT ABNORMALITY...

THIS IS THE CONGENITAL ANOMALY AND THE EXACT CAUSE IS UNEXPLAINED...

THANKS
