What Does "Few Subcentimeter Sized Bilateral Level I Lymphnodes" Mean?
I had undergone FESS surgery with turbinectomy. The biopsy was sent for investigation and the result was adenoid cystic carcinoma. A CT scan was repeated and the result was 'Few subcentimeter sized bilateral level I lymphnodes. Can you tell me what does this result indicate.
Hi. It is unfortunate diagnosis but it was good that Fess did help to get an early diagnosis. The lymph nodes can be biopsied to confirm or rule out the spread. If positive for cancer, you will have to go ahead with the treatment as suggested by your Onco-surgeon and Oncologist.
