What Does "brackial Plexus Injury At The Trunk Level" Mean?

My husband had an accident last august and he had undergo some surgery but until now his right arm cannot move and one of his doctor says he had a brackial plexus injury at the trunk level with acute denervation involving upper middle and lower trunk, does this mean a serious thing? Thank you

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Nerve injuries are common in accidents.
Brachial plexus is a network of nerves which supply the upper limb and the trunk.
Injury to the brachial plexus will lead to some abnormalities in the sensations in the upper limb and trunk.
Acute denervation injury means that the nerve supply to the particular area is discontinued.
This injury is reversible.
However, it will take some time to recover completely.
