What Does "diffuse Disc Bluge Noted At L3-L4 & L4-L5 " Mean?
Diffuse disc bluge noted at L3-L4 & L4-L5 with loss of posterior convexity causing mild indentation over the posterior convexity causing mild indentation over the thecal sac and mild bilateral neural foraminal narrowing .
Diffuse disc bluge noted with mild posterior central disc protrusion at L5-S1 causing mild to moderate compression over the thecal sac and mild bilateral neural forminal narrowing.
Hello and welcome to HCM, The interpretation of the imaging report is as follows: The interveretebral discs are present between the vertebrae. The report suggets that there is bulging of the intervertebral discs at the level of L3-L4 and L4-L5. The bulging intervertebral discs are causing compression of the thecal sac and narrowing of the neural foramina. If the bulge continues, there can be incolvement of spinal nerves. Compression of spinal nerves leads to neurological symptoms in the area where these nerves supply.
Consult an orthopedician with report for management of the condition. At this stage conservative treatment will suffice.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
