Faint opacities seen in apices are old healed granulomas. It is possible for these granulomas to remain for a lifetime. They are healed and not active anymore. If two X rays chest taken 6 months apart show no change in appearance then the disease is not active. Please discuss with your doctor and make sure he is not having any other infections.
