I understand your concern. Be relaxed. You can continue this drug as this will help in regularizing the ovulation and in the mean time help in the management of polycystic ovaries (PCOS). OVIGYN contains HCG hormone and it is given for induction of ovulation if eggs are not being released. Improper or absence of ovulation can lead to late period.
Polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) is an illness characterized by irregular or no periods, acne, obesity, and excess hair growth. PCOS occurs in 5% to 10% of women and is the most common cause of infertility in women. PCOS symptoms may begin in adolescence with menstrual irregularities , or a woman may not know she has PCOS until later in life when symptoms and/or infertility occur. I advice you to follow your doctors suggestion strictly and have a regular follow up visit and you will be successful in conceiving if you do so. Regards Dr Santosh
