Good evenning Doctor,Please advice as my son 5 yrs old have kidney stones with the following Report The report say both kidneys are normal in position with regular contour. Right kidney measures:66X28 mm. The parenchymal are normal.No calculus or caliectasis. Left kidney measures 78 X33mm.There is evidence of a calculus in the lower pole measuring 3mm. There is diffuse caliectasis and dilatation of the upper ureter with evidence of a calculus in the upper ureteric segment measuring 9 X 5 mm.Bladder shows normal distention.Lumen is clear.Wall thickness is normal. No ascites.No nodes.The iliac fossa are grossly normal.

If the size of the stone is big it causes obstruction leading to back pressure, which results in hydroureter and hydronephrosis.
