Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

besides the obvious impact of the blow on the external ear (the redness indicates inflammation/injury), the internal parts may have been affected as well. The tympanic membrane may rupture and cause pain and hearing deficits. You'd better an ENT specialist for further assessment.

I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Kind Regards,
Dr Panagiotis Zografakis
