What Does Right Renal Hydronephrosis And Hydroureter Mean ?
hello i got my sonography reports done today for stomach pain it reads as ... Right Kidney measures 91*35mms. Conclusion: Right Renal hydronephrosis and hydroureter ? ureteric calculus. Normal sonography findings of the Abdomen Noted, otherwise. My doctor suggested me to take Cystone (Himalaya) trice a day for a month is it okay? am i gonna be fine with this?

Cystone tablet is not going to work,
You need evaluation as due to stone long time having in the kidney kidney is affected markedly and require urologist opinion.
Go for S.creatinine and blood urea.

Hi,thanks for query.You are having stone in your ureter.Please go for X ray to have idea about its size.Big ones are difficult to pass.Please drink more fluids.In case of continuous pain please take advise from a urologist as if the stone has stuck in the tube and is obstructing the urine,it can damage the kidney.take care.bye.

You have mentioned about the size of the pelvis that means hydronephrosis.
You have not mentioned if they saw the ureteric calculus or if they think the hydronephrosis is ?(query) due to calculus as many a times the calculus is not seen.
Sometimes we do suggest some medicines like Cystone, which are believed to lyse the small stones and make them pass in urine.( say they act as stone melters).
More information on the stones:
If the calculus is seen they mention its size. Any stone less than 5mm usually passes by itself in the urine, provided you drink lot of water around 4 to 5 lts a day. Stones between 5mm to 10 mm called borderline get passed with some medical assistance like flush therapy where in we infuse IV fluids and diuretics to help the stone pass, if it does not pass we operate. Usually stones beyond 10 mm or 1 cms need surgical intervention by Urologists.
Please consult an Urologist for further evaluation.
