Hi
thanks for posting on HCM
The pain you describe may be caused by many medical conditions:
-GERD since its a condition your are suffering from already.
-Lungs infection/chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD)
-Liver/gallbladder pathologies
I will suggest you see your Doctor for examination and investigations.Tests like
*A chest Xray to look for lungs infection
*A respiratory function test/spirometry to look for COPD
*An abdominal ultrasound to evaluate the liver
*A live function test
*H pylori test since common in people with GERD/gastritis
From the results, your Doctor will know how to manage you better. In the meantime, i will suggest
-You take an anti-secretory like omeprazole
-An antacid/antireflux like topaal
-A pain medication like celecoxib since it has limited gastric effects
-Take enough fluids
-Avoid foods that aggravate symptoms of GERD
-Eat frequently and in small quantities
-Avoid smoking
Your Doctor will take care of the rest of the management from the test results.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
