My mother had in CT Scan Report as following what treatment sugest by your goodself. My mother age is 75 years. A well defined hypodense lesion is noted in left parietal region-infarct. Bilateral basal ganglia calcification is also noted. Prominent ventricalular and extra ventricular CSF spaces-age related atrophy. Falx is central Calvarium is normal No SOL seen
There is an area in the brain which had compromised blood supply anytime in the past and is now not functional. Size of the area is not mentioned so the severity of limitation in function cannot be predicted.
The brain also shows changes due to advancing age and this is acceptable. The CT scan findings needs to be assessed by a neurologist and medications given. If she has diabetes of hypertension then please go for regular follow up.
